Paros, built on white crystal rock, is famous for its healing quality.  It is one of the beautiful Cycladic Islands that form a mosaic in the turquoise waters of the Aegean Sea. According to ancient Greek mythology, Cyclades were Oceanids (nymphs), daughters of Oceanus and Tethys, who were transformed into rocks by Poseidon when they provoked his rage. He threw those very rocks into the ocean and the islands emerged.
